Decks: The main deck, cockpit and bridge deck are all laid in teak with teak toe rails.
Interior: Solid teak joinery with matching teak veneer marine ply. Spray hood: replaced 2015. The whole cockpit can be enclosed to give full shelter from rain, adding a dry space in periods of long rain. Or converted to bimini style shading.
Mainsail: 12 oz East Coast Sails 1993. Fully battened in cream Dacron with maximum roach and lens foot for optimum sail shape control. Three reefing points and Cunningham down-haul.
Headsails: No.1. 140% triradial furling headsail in 8 oz Dacron by East Coast Sails, 1993. No 3. 100% 8/10 oz 5 ply laminated Mylar cruising cloth 1996. true radial with maximum roach and collapsible battens. Light no 1. 140%Lucas cross cut 4 oz sail fitted with luff tape for Hood Sea furl. Can be set with triradial no 1 for prolonged down wind sailing. Storm jib: 10 oz Lucas with piston hanks for attachment to removable inner fore stay. Spinnaker. 1.5 oz East Coast Triradial multicolored. Fitted with a Spare Hand, snuffer system by Suffolk sails. This sail is designed to give good stability combined with reaching capabilities and has the Rival class insignia in the center. 1994.
Mast: Sparlight black anodized. Fitted with spinnaker pole track and car with control lines to enable the pole to be stowed on the mast and to facilitate single handed gybing. Radar scanner, reflector , T.V aerial, VHF aerial and wind vane fitted to mast. Halyard winches and clutches fitted to mast.
Boom: Selden with in boom reefing lines to facilitate all reefing from cockpit. 2003.
Rigging: Forestay 10 mm Dyform. Caps 8mm Dyrorm. Lowers 7mm Dyform Backstay 8mm Dyform All fitted by Masts and Rigging Ltd; 2005. Removable inner forestay fitted by Fox’s rigging 1997. All standing rigging fitted with Staylock terminations to facilitate easy self replacement or repair.
Halyards: 12mm Spectra.
Roller furling: Hood sea furl model 3250. 1992.
Winches: Sheet winches, Primary, Lewmar model 44 two speed self tailing black anodized. Secondary, Lewmar 16 two speed x2. Reefing and out haul, Lewmar 30 two speed x2. fitted 2006. Mast: 1x Lewmar 30 self tailing and 1x Lewmar 16.
Engine, gear box and running gear: Nanni 42 h.p. fitted 2003. Gearbox: new PRM hydraulic fitted 2003. Exhaust: Parsons Injector system. Prop shaft 1.25 dia, stainless steel. Outer bearing: countrose phenolic CT 005. renewed 2011. Propeller: Autoprop 3 blade self feathering 460mm dia. At present removed for servicing and original 3 blade fixed propelled is fitted.
Tankage: Diesel , stainless steel with inspection hatch, 40 gls. Water. 100 gls stainless steel baffled with two inspection hatches.
Anchor windlass: Frances 1500 vertical 24 volt under deck motor with air switches on fore deck and cockpit. Chain gypsy and rope drum with clutch control.
Anchors: Bower. 45 lb CQR self stowed in anchor locker on fore deck. Kedge. 28 lb CQR. Cables: Main. 60 mts 3/8 galvanized tested short link. Kedge. 20 mts 3/8 galvanized short link. Kedge. 60 mts 16mm multi plait c/w thimble.
Autopilot: Raymarine SPX30Y fitted 2010.
Steering: Whitlock Cobra MK 5 Deluxe 1994. Solid rod link connected system with 28” wheel and autopilot gearbox. Aries windvane. Rigel Posiden compass.
Instruments: Autohelm 50 depth meter. Autohelm wind speed and direction (not functioning at present).
Navagition: Garmin GPS. B+G V7 chart plotter and navionic charts of Australia and Indonesia. Furuno 1721 Radar with 16 mile range linked to Furuno GPS 30. New Simrand RS12 DSC radio and new class B AIS fitted and operational. Icom Hand held VHF radio.
Batteries: 6x Seabang 100a/h batteries. 4 for domestic and 2 for engine. Replaced 2014.
Electrical: Yachts electrical supply is 24 vpols with 12 volt regulators for instruments. Vetus changeover switch with separate isolator switches on each battery connection. Battery state meters for both banks, protected from engine heater currents by automatic relays. Battery, galley and engine compartments have their own extraction fans as per Llyods instructions.
Pumps: bilges, heads etc Henderson MK 5 . Heads have Lavac systems. Sea-cocks: Blake bronze.
Cooker / Heater: Perkins Galipak type 5B diesel fired stainless steel pressure jet with stainless steel flue. This unit is unique in that it not only provides the main cooking facilities with 2 hot plates and a large oven, but also heats and pressurizes all the domestic water for the galley ,heads and heating system which has stainless radiators in forward aft and saloon. It provides a totally dry heat for the interior thus eliminating condensation problems, keeping the boat aired, warm and dry. It is a real boon in cooler and wet conditions. Low fuel consumption and can be run under way. A single burner Mentholated spirit gimballed stove for cooking in warmer climes and making tea etc.
Refrigerator: 24 volt Combicool top loader. Requires new compressor and piping.
Sea births: Two canvas roll away pipe-cots fitted in saloon, Ideal for heavy weather. 6 berths in all. All berths have lee cloths.
Other: 6 Man life raft and various other safety equipment. 2 Inflatable dinghies and 1 Honda 2.3 h.p. outboard. Fenders etc etc. Collection of paper charts and many sailing and cruising reference books.
Owners note: Cirripedia is a fine boat and very sea kindly. Very capable heavy weather yacht. The low asking price is to give the new owner the opportunity to up grade the systems where they feel necessary and have a fine vessel for a fair price.
